About This Strategy
As you prepare to implement an OUR K-5 or IM K-5 Math lesson, it is important to internalize the lesson purpose and to do the math of each activity. The sticky note lesson planning allows you to complete the math while synthesizing key notes that you want at the forefront of your mind during the lesson.
Implementation Steps:
- Review the lesson purpose and narrative.
- Review the lesson's assessment (cool down or section checkpoint) and complete the math.
- On a sticky note, summarize the key ideas from the lesson and the key skills assessed.
- Review the warm-up information in the lesson narrative and do the math.
- On a sticky note, record the key ideas:

- Review the activities and do the math for each.
